Federal Student Aid
We live in a great country where we have good federal student aid. I know that college tuition is ridiculous and I think one of the main reasons they
#1: Go in early for it
A lot of people want to wait until the last minute. There are programs out there that only allow so many people per college or are just limited to a certain number of people nationwide. They have so much they can cover per year and that’s it, after that there is nothing left for anyone else out of that specific program. Therefore, I would not wait until the week before the college semester comes around to enroll and get your federal student aid assistance. Not only because it will be jam packed with other people, but you are more likely to get the money you need to cover your tuition.
#2: Be ready to prove you need help
Do not walk in there with nothing in hand. They will want lots of information about what your income looks like, how many kids you have, whether you are married or not, they want just about everything you can think of. They want to be able to weed through those that do need help versus those that do not really need help but are do not want to pay college out of their own pocket.
#3: Fill out anything and everything you can get your hands on.
Many people will walk in there request some help, they will fill out a single form that the lady behind the desk gave them and then leave. There are several programs out there, some more helpful than others, but every little thing helps, right? Fill out paperwork for all the scholarships and grants you can get your hands on. If you end up with more money than you need, that is awesome, save it for the next semester, you may need it. It is definitely way better to just plan on taking your time and filling out paperwork for hours than to rush the process and not end up having enough help to really be able to afford school comfortably and this is what federal student aid is for!

can continue to go up is because they know that the government will step up and continue to offer more money to help the students and this just means more money in the colleges pockets. However, this does not always mean that getting a good amount of federal student aid money to cover your tuition is necessarily easy. Below I have some tips on how to get your federal student aid.
